Chance for a change

The start of a new year signals a chance to change for many and our Gold Class Girls are no different. Only this last week has seen many of our lovely clients in for a change and the most significant is the colour change for Lauren Goodger. Keen to ditch her blonde bombshell image she stepped into Inanch London and the experienced hands of Roberto Silva to start the change into a sultry & sophisticated brunette. Warm chocolate browns were the new hue and returning Lauren back to her natural shade. Tweeting that evening “stage one … My brown hair us back … Next stage back to @inanchlondon for gloss”

Back in salon for the second stage, Roberto completed her transformation with colour matched extensions and some additional caramel tones to add subtle highlights throughout. Adding 200 strands of Gold Class Hair in 50cm to give plenty of volume and length for this glamorous look. Lauren shared lots more snaps on Instagram showing off her finished look and we think we are going to be seeing a lot more of her as she enjoys her new do and exciting plans for the future.

Also in to add new length was Sam Fraiers to help her sister Billie celebrate her birthday; Rochelle Humes for some maintenance before the BRIT nominations and Michelle Heaton in preparation for the National TV Awards this week.

Hold us to our New Year’s Resolutions

Last year was most definitely great for us with the launch of our brand; establishing our hair as the number one choice for celebrities and seeing our Healthy Hair Days philosophy come to life. So we caught up with our founder Inanch Emir for a few New Year Resolutions to give us a hint of of what’s planned for the year ahead.

1) Introduce more colours to the range – ash tones are set to be big in 2015.

2) Make this the year the year we showcase Gold Class on a big stage – we’re talking the industry’s best exhibition and we’ll be there. Come see us at Pro Hair Live London as we unveil our system and hair for our fellow professionals; and follow Inanch & her team on stage as they create some amazing looks with her signature Glamorous style.

3) Spread the Healthy Hair Days message wide.

4) Enjoy being part of the Inanch London 10 years birthday celebrations – all this hard work has lead to the development of Gold Class so it’s definitely worth celebrating.

It’s going to be an amazing year for us so keep in touch to check we are ticking our resolutions off.

Look no bonds!

First up, good extensions should not look like extensions. This includes the cutting & blending of the hair, but the single most-asked question is normally the “bonds”. What do they look like, how will they feel and for those of us who like to change of hairstyle; then to make sure they cannot be seen even when you show off your hair-up looks. This comes down to the bonds used with expert application and placement in the hair.

Constantly in the spotlight and under the lens of the parazzi, X-Factor host Sarah Jane Crawford generally likes to wear her hair down when out & about and partying. But at work, she has been sporting sleeked back ponytails on a couple of occasions or half up do’s. Showing off her Gold Class lock length, it’s a great example of how truly amazing Inanch’s extension work is. Not only are her bonds so discreet but they are positioned so that the hair can move, be up-styled and most importantly, not seen.

The award winning hair team at Strictly Come Dancing have their work cut out changing the looks week by week for all the professional dancers & celebrities and their creativity is not limited for wearing Gold Class extensions. In week one we saw Ola Jordan’s Tango up-do including side scraping plaits and big hair rolls. Gold Class hair styles like your own hair, so there is not limit with using products & heated hair tools to achieve these looks and create fabulous hair for us to swoon over. Not afraid of her hair down Ola and her colleagues have good #hairswishing moments too.

So if you plan to wear your hair up, remember to tell your extensionist so they can accommodate for this and make sure no-one sees those pesky bonds!

Roberto’s Diary

November is a really busy time with the run up to Christmas and Roberto’s loyal clients making sure they have their extensions looking fabulous for the awards & party season. But we managed to grab five minutes with Inanch’s right hand man …

It’s never a dull moment at Inanch London with lots of famous faces in salon and the paps camped outside to make sure they get some great snaps as they leave with fabulous hair – Sam Faiers caused quite a stir the other week. The demand for Gold Class is growing and most of my regular clients have all swapped over and love the hair. As an extensionist I just love working & playing with this hair. The Healthy Hair Days philosophy really backs up all our salon experience to provide the absolute best extensions & service.

Extensions are the biggest part of my day but my colour work is also in demand as the season changes we have seen a few shifts from blonde to brunette or even darker. Michelle Heaton is craving another darker hue so watch this space.

In between all this, the team are busy working closely with Inanch on the training aspects for Gold Class. Fine tuning our manuals and educator notes to make sure we share all our experience with our trainees. We have had a play with all the new equipment to make sure each of us are consistent. It’s been really interesting looking at our work from a different angle as our extension work is second nature and we are keen to share this passion. As the main educator in salon, it is hugely rewarding and I can’t wait to start rolling out Gold Class education in the new year.

Not one to stay in the shadows of his boss, Roberto has started to gather a collection of awards for his extension work and recently won the Great Lengths Gold Trophy for Extensions Excellence. #OneToWatch

Gold Class has Strictly Fever!

We might have waved ‘bye bye’ to new girl Joanne Clifton from the Strictly Come Dancing competition this weekend but it’s a good excuse to look at her hair in action.

Our World Champion ballroom dancer choose to follow her dancing team mates Ola & Kristina, at the celeb hotspot salon, Inanch London, for a makeover before the #SCD mania started. After a new look, Joanne changed from blonde to brunette and a full head of Gold Class extensions have added volume to her hair ready to be pampered and preened by the BAFTA award winning Hair Team at the BBC’s hit show.

The glamorous high pony for week 2’s Tango is very on trend with the likes of Cheryl Fernandez Versini sporting similar sleek pony’s if you flick over to XFactor. We love that you can see the different shades of brown, giving a more natural look, in the side sweep.

The cheeky Charleston in week 5 gave us hair up and cascading curls showing how easy it is again to style Gold Class hair and more importantly that it will hold that shape even whilst bouncing around the dance floor.

Her ‘Rock DJ’ Cha Cha for week one started off with her classic tumbling locks but added a plait across the front to keep her hair off her face during the dance itself.

We have taken Joanne to our hearts in the salon and on screen; and are so glad she’s part of the Strictly team. Will we be seeing her on the Live Tour though?? We hope so!!!

Real Life Healthy Hair Days*

If you haven’t read our earlier blog Healthy Hair Days* … a way of life here’s the proof:

It doesn’t seem like five minutes since we applied a full head of Gold Class hair to the beautiful Michelle Keegan, but 4 months has flown by and she popped back into Inanch London to have her extensions professionally & safely removed. Treated to a little Philip Kingsley Spa Mist treatment before showing off her own hair and seeing it alongside her hair before extensions, you can see her hair is healthier than ever.

Always the good girl, Michelle is following our Gold Class philosophy to the letter and having a break from her extensions for a little bit but we will be seeing her again soon.

We had to share with you this perfect example of how our premium quality hair, professional application, bespoke aftercare programme, professional removal of the extensions gives ZERO damage to the client’s natural hair and allows your natural hair to grow whilst wearing our extensions!

Our summer secret

We’ve been keeping this one under wraps but we can’t keep a secret long and can now share with you our exclusive behind the scenes snaps from our photo shoot with Mischa Barton back in the summer. We spent the day at the prestigious Grove Hotel & Country Club just outside London and made full use of the fabulous interior and exquisite gardens to get some magical shots.

Hollywood Actress, Mischa has been a loyal extension client for Inanch Emir, of Inanch London, for over five years and was keen to move over to the Gold Class Hair. What better excuse to tie in another shoot! Famed for her long hair we added extension for volume shooting a mid length before adding a clip-in for an instant longer length look with some loose waves. Teamed with understated couture bridal and bridesmaid dresses the overall look is rather ethereal. All ways a pleasure working with Mischa and if you want to see more images from the day check out our short VT.

Look out for the November issue of Professional Hairdresser Magazine to see the full collection.

Huge thanks to the team making everything possible – Chris Harris Photography, Pia Michi & Zeynep Kartal for the stunning couture gowns, stylist Natasha Lyons, makeup Sian Duke. and the team at The Grove Hotel for making us welcome.

Rochelle Humes & Sarah-Jane Crawford pay us a visit

This week saw Rochelle Humes of ‘The Saturday’s’ and Xtra Factor host, Sarah-Jane Crawford, both visiting the Inanch London salon to have their Gold Class Hair extensions applied by multi-award winning extensionist, Inanch Emir.

Rochelle is a long standing client of Inanch but this was the first time she had gone for a set of Inanch’s premium quality Gold Class Hair extensions. Rochelle was getting ready to go and support fellow ‘Sat’ Frankie Sandford in her first night on Strictly Come Dancing and also making sure her hair would look it’s best for her forthcoming tour with The Saturday’s. The gorgeous singer had 4 different shades of brown strands, ranging from brunette to honey, applied to her natural tresses.

Girl of the moment, Sarah-Jane Crawford also popped into her favourite salon to have her Gold Class Hair extensions applied ready for the live X Factor shows. The red lipped beauty upped the glam factor and went for longer extensions than usual and all in a warm brown shade.

We’re in 2015 already … and Istanbul

Can you believe we have already shot our 2015 collection?  How organised are we??

We flew the team to the beautiful city of Istanbul to capture our hair in the very best light.   Staying in the new Hilton Hotel in the heart of the city we had some amazing shots and then ran out to a former EFES beer factory currently being renovated for some more shots with models Imogen Leaver, Ianthe Rose and Tara Hoyos-Martinez.    On our second day of shooting, Michelle Heaton joined us for a special shoot wearing a magnificent wedding dress.

The shoot went so well we also managed to sneak in some downtime and had an amazing evening dinner on the island of Kiz Kulesi – you can only get there by boat but it was so worth it and very beautiful. A great way to celebrate the end of the shoot with the whole team.

Check out our images in our gallery – hope you love them.

Special thanks to Pia Michi for their beautiful dresses!

Healthy Hair Days* … a way of life

Here at Gold Class you can put fabulous extensions down to 4 basic points:
Firstly the raw ingredients have to be great quality and our hair is absolutely the best.

The next step is all about YOU. The hair health diagnosis is more than a consultation you might find at other extension salons. Using specialist cameras we look at your hair and scalp and determine if extensions are suitable. Don’t get us wrong, we want you to have amazing tresses but if we feel that the extensions are not right we will be able to advise you how to improve your hair and scalp to get your dream hair extensions in the future.

The application is a critical step. Check you hairdresser is a qualified hairdresser with State Registration (SRH after their name) and ask about their extension qualifications, training & experience. To train in Gold Class all extensionists have to be SRH with 3 years extension application experience. The Gold Class training is two days of intensive training and ensures that application is perfect and not causing damage to the clients hair & scalp.

Last up is the aftercare and this is not just about the prescribed shampoo & conditioner. This is about how you live your life and tailoring the product and passing on maintenance tips for you to get the most from your hair. It doesn’t stop there either as you need to remove your extensions safely after 3-4 months. We can then repeat step two and see the improvement in your own hair & scalp condition before looking to reapply extensions.

These points really are not rocket science and are just common sense. We have been practising this at Inanch London salon for over a year now and really its become a way of life for us and our clients. It really is about having healthy hair day now and forever.

It is important to consider the commitment from your end before investing in hair extensions. Looking after your hair extensions requires a full commitment from you and as the extensions are a cosmetic procedure, there is an element of risk of causing damage to your own hair and scalp. We believe that Gold Class hair extensions’ premium quality hair, expert application and accredited aftercare programme will help minimise any risk of damage to your own hair and scalp. This relies on you following the maintenance and aftercare guidelines and that you return for safe removal of your extensions to the salon within the specified period. xx
