You might have noticed we have added a few new salons to our elite group, and we are super pleased that the uber stylish LAC+CO from Toronto asked to join us and bring our designer label hair to Canada. They have a similar ethos to ourselves in their work ethics and do not compromise on quality or price.
Having trained back in March, we caught up with their stylist and Extension Specialist, Thuy to find out more about their work and Canadian style.
What an amazing class with an award winning celebrity hair extensionist @inanchlondon. Thank you for sharing all your tips and secrets. Can’t wait to show my clients the best hair extension quality @goldclasshair and technique. And a special thanks to @tonypham_555 for sending me to London to learn from the best. #hairstylist #hairextensionist #torontohairstylist #lacandco
1) Tell us about your typical hair extension client? Our typical hair extension client is after length and volume. We have a wide range of clients and we get excited helping them get the right look.
2) Which celeb is the most requested hair icon your clients want to emulate?
We get this a lot, from Shay Mitchell, JLO, Gigi or Bella Hadid and Kaia Jordan Gerber. Some great hair icons for us to re-create with hair extensions.
3) What hair care tip do you share with your extension clients for better maintenance?
I advise clients not to blow-dry their hair when it is wet. They must comb carefully holding the hair and extensions near the head so the extensions stay secure and being mindful of the bonds. Once the hair is 80% dry, then they can blow-dry it. The hair has a beautiful effect when left dry naturally. Not using unnecessary heat on your hair and the extension hair will reduce the potential damage to your hair.
4) Tell us about the style of your salon and your ethos.
LAC+CO creates enhanced natural beauty; we offer hair and beauty services. “The only way you’re leaving Lac + Co is with healthy, shiny, silky strands.” Yep book your flights now.
5) What made you want to work with Gold Class Hair?
Gold Class Hair has great quality and achieves the natural look that we want.
6) Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like doing on your day off? Who inspires you? Which celeb do you want to do the hair of?
I spend a lot of time with my family, especially with my beautiful daughter. She is almost two!
I’m inspired by Anh Cotran from LA… and of course, our very own Tony Pham from LAC+CO. It would be a dream to do JLO’s hair!
7) What do you think is different about Canadian hairdressing to us Brits?
Canadians are definitely less experimental. They are more classy and natural, with slight personal interpretations.
8) If we are to visit you guys, tell us the best spots to visit in Toronto?
Best new hotel to stay at is Broadview Hotel…Soto Soto and Josos for restaurant options. Just don’t forget to call by us at LAC+CO too!

We are proud to announce we will be exhibiting at the world’s biggest & best hair exhibition, Salon International 2017, now that we’re in October.
We will continue to look for more Elite Salons to join our family around the UK and the rest of the world. With only a handful of carefully selected salons currently with us, our philosophy focuses on “quality over quantity” awarding Gold Class accreditation to salons that meet our strict criteria in the professional application, tailored client aftercare and our “healthy hair days” regime. Read more on our website or come and chat to the team on the stand.
Although Gold Class certification is by application only, we are now offering our world-class hair extensions equipment and tools to all professional extensionists. Choose from Application Workstation, Application Machine, Removal Tools, Bond Cutters, Brushes and our complete Aftercare Range – all vigorously trialed and tested by our founder Inanch Emir. These will be available to purchase at Salon International for the first time and with a great discount available at the show only!
“A hair extensions artist can only be as good as the quality of the tools they use.”

She will be judging the Hairdressers Journal Extension Specialist of the Year competition at lunchtime and will be available to meet and greet during the rest of the day. “I try to tell my clients to avoid getting their hair wet in sea water and chlorinated pools by keeping their hair tied up. But if they do get their hair wet then they absolutely have to wash it as soon as possible.
“Here at Inanch we are really big fans of Philip Kingsley products and no more so then Elasticizer. This is a must for your holiday packing. Damp your hair and add as a leave-in conditioner. It’s heat activated so the sunshine will do all the hard work and deeply nourish your hair whilst you chill out. Leave it in all day long and your hair will be AMAZING.
“If you’re looking to protect your locks from the UV rays, spritz over Phytoplage Sublime to protect the colour and lock in moisture; and don’t forget your hat!
“We know plaits or a messy topknot are perfect beach hair inspiration. For those beach waves, Lee recommends plaiting your hair whilst damp (don’t forget to add your Elasticizer) and leaving it all day before undoing for the evening for a nice gentle wave and ultra soft tresses. A little R+CO Dry Shampoo Paste adds a little texture too.”
With so much choice, how do you pick the right brush for you? We have a range of beautiful brushes that are not only designed to care for your hair extensions, cleaning your hair, detangling and add shine with every stroke, but those with softer bristles will also gently glide over your bonds. Here’s our guide to getting it right for your tresses:
We all know that brushing your hair when wet is a “No No” so our combs are handy to have in and detangle those locks before you start styling. Some of our combs are more suitable to styling, so we recommend our Cutting Comb with both a wide toothed section to start with and then follow up with the narrower teeth. Keep to below your bonded areas and support your hair whilst comb to prevent tugging.
New to our range is our soft-touch Italian Blow Dry Brush which creates volume, great curl and closes the cuticles to leave an in-salon professional finish to your bouncy blow dry,
If sleek locks are what you are craving, then use our Paddle Brush on a low to medium heat setting.
Our Deluxe Styling Brush is such a workable tool, offering more control to shape the hair & de-tangle all hair lengths. The Dressing Comb and Pintail Comb were made to make sectioning your hair easier, to help with those up-do’s and can also be used for backcombing to add volume to your look.
Our founder, Inanch Emir, recommends brushing your hair regularly throughout the day, at least 4 times and so don’t forget our smaller sizes of these brushes for your handbag or desk draw.
You really can’t go wrong with our Paddle Brush. Essential for hair extension wearers with medium to long lengths. It’s our best seller and a finalist for the Hair Awards in 2016. We also offer a Large Oval Brush which is perfect for daily brushing, but if you want a real treat to look good on your dressing table then you absolutely have to have our Gold Brush.
We have a couple of handbag-sized brushes so you can preen on the move – a firm favourite has to be the Gold Class Extension Brush, but paddle brush fans with ultra long locks might prefer the Small Paddle.
It’s well worth investing in a couple of brushes to make the most of your hair extensions. Brushes to avoid include those with bobbles on the ends of the bristles as these catch on your bonds and will tug your hair. This is the same for hard bristles that are inflexible and pull on your extensions too much. If you want to know more about the correct way to brush your hair whilst wearing your extensions, then head to our aftercare guidelines or speak to your Gold Class extensionist for their top tips & demonstration.
The date has been set, the dress found. Now it’s time to start planning your most important hairstyle ever and our founder, Inanch, counts us down:
12 months to go…
It’s never too early to start talking about wedding day hair, especially if you’re planning on growing your hair or changing colour, that way your hairdresser can book in all the appointments you need in advance.
10 months to go…
As soon as you’ve sorted your venue, tell your hairdresser. They may also need to book time out of the salon to come and do your hair so the more notice you can give the better, advises Inanch.
9 months to go…
Now is the time to start thinking about the health of your hair so that it looks it’s best. As well as booking in for in-salon conditioning treatments at every appointment, make sure you’re using an at-home mask once a week at home. We love Philip Kingsely’s Elasticizer. I know it sounds boring but it really does make a difference and when you’ve put so much time and effort into every other aspect of your big day doesn’t it make sense?
6 months to go…
The dress is ordered, time to show your stylist. Now is when you can actually start planning your look. Take into consideration if you’re wearing a veil or hair accessory or if you want to to be able to change your hair for the evening party. Take a look at our collections for more hair inspiration.
5 months to go…
Nearly all of my brides wear extensions as it makes such a difference to the appearance of your hair for photos. Try them out before your big day to get used to how they feel in your hair and to try the look you want with them to check you can’t see any bonds.
3 months to go…
If you have your accessories and veil then have a trial of your hairstyle with your hairdresser. I always get my brides to try and keep the style in place for as long as they can after the appointment – rather than taking it down straight away – to get a feel for how comfortable it is and to check that it stays in place more than just a few hours!
2 weeks to go…
This is the time to get your ends trimmed and your roots and colour sorted. By having your cut and colour done a few weeks before your big day it will still look really fresh but more natural.
1 week to go…
If you’ve decided to opt for extension then now is the time to get them in.
To book your bridal hair consultation talk to one of our Gold Class extensionists at our select salons around the UK.
Great news! We’ve created our own range of exclusive Gold Class hair care to ensure your tresses remain beautiful and healthy, so you can thoroughly enjoy your Gold Class hair experience.
“A healthy hair & scalp are the key to natural & beautiful hair extensions; and so it was an essential step that we developed our own range of aftercare products to support our salons and clients.” Inanch Emir founder of Gold Class hair extensions.
“Although our is 100% human hair, once made into hair extensions they no longer are receiving the essential oils from the scalp that keeps the hair healthy. Hair extensions aftercare is therefore a little different from your everyday hair care products. Our aftercare products have been specially formulated to ensure that the client’s hair extensions as well as their own hair & scalp are receiving the correct nourishment in order to have beautiful, healthy hair each and every day.”
Getting into a good hair care routine with the right products will prolong the life of the hair extensions as well as maintaining the integrity and optimum health of your own hair. The key the Gold Class hair care range is the “moisturising” aspect of each product rehydrating the extensions and preventing dry ends and hair breakage. This is in two stages; firstly hydrating the hair to allow it to function and maintain it’s elasticity allowing styling of the hair. The second stage is to lock the moisture in to enhance the brilliance and lustre of the hair.
Having released the Silky Hair Days™, pH Balancer and the paddle brush at the end of 2015, we are now introducing five further products to complete the range and offer not only the everyday essentials for mositurising the hair but also offering products to protect the hair from the environment and heat damage.
Gold Class Hair Extension Shampoo 250ml
Gold Class Hair Extension Conditioner 250ml
Gold Class Leave in Protein Spray 250ml
Gold Class Conditioning Boost 100ml
Gold Class Argon Oil Hair Treatment 30ml
The Gold Class aftercare range is available through Gold Class select salons around the UK.
You already know Daniel Galvin is an Elite-10 salon but we wanted to have a joint launch party and share exactly why they have chosen to work with us at an exclusive press event. We didn’t want you to miss out too so here are the evening’s highlights….
We took over the lower ground floor of the flagship Daniel Galvin salon in Marylebone with over 50 guests joining as Stephen Nurse, Operations Director for Daniel Galvin, introduced Inanch Emir & Rebecca Lennon (Daniel Galvin’s Principle Extensionist) to talk about Gold Class extensions and what makes our brand a class above the rest. The audience included trade & consumer press, bloggers, personalities and members of our other Elite-10 salons; listening on as Inanch talked about her passion for hair extensions and why she started Gold Class. Becky (Rebecca Lennon) talked about her client type and how she can use extensions with her team to create natural looking hair – at the heart of what Daniel Galvin are all about. Alongside their questions, Inanch and Becky had prepared four models to discuss their looks and benefits of extensions to each:
Ianthe – with only around 25 strands of Gold Class to help keep the volume of her on trend lob which she had for a couple of months.
Laura – full head of warm blondes new in that afternoon and so natural everyone thinks it’s her own hair which is perfect for her modelling work.
Anastasia – likes her length at 50cm and full head of extensions curled.
Beth – full head for ‘new to extensions’ Beth who can’t stop swooshing her hair.
Right on cue Michelle Heaton pulled out her Gold Class brush in her handbag to prove the point about caring for your hair extensions. The models joined in to share their top tips of caring for extensions too #SimplyGoldClass. Journalists were then invited to see the hair and equipment up close and to mingle with the team to ask their most burning questions whilst enjoying nibbles and some fizz. We also had our latest products there – more hair care essentials and some new hues – more to follow on these soon.
You did miss a rare opportunity as Inanch herself modelled our Silky Hair Days cap beautifully and the team at Stages Hair Design from Bristol brought along a beautiful Gold Class cake for everyone to share. #nomnom

2015 was a fantastic year for Gold Class as we highlighted in our earlier blog and we predict that this year is going to be even better and we want to share with you some of our exciting projects for the year ahead!!
First of all we’ve headed to India where our superior quality hair is sourced for a tour of our partner’s factory and to check the whole production process. A full report to follow next month.
Later this month we’ll be celebrating the launch of Gold Class at our Elite 10 salon Daniel Galvin where all our lovely Gold Class salons are joining us alongside press and celebrities at their flagship salon in George Street. This promises to be a great evening and don’t worry we will share some snaps with you over on Instagram.
We have some new products coming too that we’ve been working on throughout 2015 to perfect them before launching this year: a new state-of-the-art hair application machine, a blow-dry brush specifically designed for hair extensions and a full Gold Class wetline range formulated to care for your Gold Class extensions.
We also have a new and improved digital microscope for our stylists to share your hair and scalp analysis with you straight to your tablet or phone during your initial consultations.
Last but not least, there are more hair colours already in production! The most beautiful platinum blonde – a huge trend for 2016 so you have better get in with your Gold Class select salon now for a consultation and get it pre-ordered! We also have 9 new ombré’s coming for Spring – you will just love these and if you can’t tell we are super excited!
We don’t stop there and will keep you updated on more exciting happenings with Gold Class. So have you done your #HairResolutions yet? Looking for some trend tips for the year ahead then read up on this in last week’s blog.
We are really excited to be releasing our very first hair care product in time to add to your winter hair care regime. The pH Balancer is the hero product for all hair extension wearers to offer protection against the environment. Essential for holidays, swimming and as added protection to fight against the everyday stresses on the hair; the pH Balancer acts as a deep conditioning treatment.
A simple rinse (the final rinse) with this leave in conditioning treatment will restore your scalp and hair to it’s true pH balance and lock in moisture to create healthy looking hair with a natural shine.
Rochelle Humes instagrammed her pH Balancer as part of her winter hair care regime alongside the Gold Class Silky Hair Days and other prescribed products to give her locks the Xtra Factor!
Bottle size 250ml and comes with diluter bottle. Available to buy from your Gold Class select salon.
You know how keen we are about our Healthy Hair Days philosophy, well our latest product will help. Introducing our Silky Hair Days hair cap. Made from 100% mulberry silk (nothing but the best of course!) it helps keep your hair and extensions in place overnight to prevent matting. With winter drawing in, it has the added benefit of combatting frizz too. So whilst you get your beauty sleep, your hair is getting the best care too.
The secret is all in the silk. It has some amazing benefits for your hair just in the same way silk bedding comes highly recommended. It’s hypoallergenic and the silk allows your hair and scalp to breathe. Being so soft & smooth, your hair glides over it and therefore prevents tugging, hair breakage and matting. This is music to the ears of all extension wearers. But silk also contains proteins that stop your hair drying out and leave it with a healthy shine. The perfect way to start the day.
Wake up with immaculate hair everyday with our #SilkyHairDays #SimplyGoldClass
